Sadie is in dire urgency. She is in temporary foster care in Tennessee. She is part of a group of dogs we call the "Frontier Dogs", they come from many different walks of life and sadly we do not know all of their stories, and hopefully the next chapters of their lives will be written with much tenderness and happiness. We call them the “Frontier Dogs” because they will now be are entering a new frontier. Many were taken from shelters and abusive situations with the best of intentions, only to have them end up back in a similar and in some ways much worse situation. Now for many this will be their third and forth chance at new a beginning, and this time there CAN be no failure, they will be entering a fresh “Frontier”, a new beginning. Please open your hearts to these dogs. They are all gentle souls, with big hearts, that need love, time and patience. If you cannot adopt, please donate or foster. We need help in many forms of contributions, whether it is food, medical, or homes. Anything you can spare is appreciated.

UPDATE 10-4-09 Robby was rescued just in the nick of time thanks to the soft heart of a Catahoula Rescue foster mom. He is now in foster care near Beaumont, TX and doing great. He gets along wonderfully with the other dogs and has learned that the cats aren't for his amusement. Robby is an active, friendly puppy and ready for a home of his own.
Rob has less than 24 hours. He dies 9-10-09. He appears to be about 4 or 5 months old. He's in a kill shelter that is moving to a new facility. They are only taking 10 dogs with them and Rob didn't make the cut. If you can help save Rob, please CALL Mary immediately.

UPDATE 10-4-09 Faith and Boy are now in a Catahoula Rescue foster home in Industry, TX, northwest of Houston. They have adjusted well to their new surroundings and play nicely with all the other dogs. Faith loves her toys and accumlates them in her "hope" chest. She's hoping for a home of her own soon.
Faith and her brother Big Boy were rescued as puppies from the Montgomery county animal shelter by an individual in Conroe. This person is now moving into a home that does not allow pets. Big Boy and Faith will go back to the shelter if they are not adopted or fostered by Wednesday 9-9-09. We're told that Faith is good with kids, cats and other dogs and loves to be with people. If you can help save Faith by fostering until a forever home is found or if you are interested in adopting, please contact Catahoula Rescue ASAP.
